Lebanese Labor Law in English



Financially, how much would a labor law lawsuit in Lebanon cost you? What source can you trust to remain up to date on labor law changes? Who is eligible for what? What is the difference in hiring a local or a foreigner? What is the minimum required by law? How can you protect yourself financially and legally? How can you minimize confusion between employee’s expectations and reality?

 

Objectives

This workshop will cover all aspects of existing labor laws in Lebanon including: natural application, negative consequences, avoidance of lawsuits, differences between hiring native or foreign employees, minimum requirements for all laws pertaining to your organization.

Designed for

Any person responsible / accountable for the application of Lebanese Labor Laws within their organization in relation to contracts, hiring, terminating, approving and/or rejecting requests for leaves, vacations, salary and compensation stipulations, taxation issues, etc…

What you will learn

By the end of the training the candidates will:

  • Know how to prepare/or read an employment contract and find the gaps.
  • Know your rights and obligations as an employer. (What’s real and what’s not?)
  • Know your organization’s rights pertaining to vacations, extra hours, termination, maternity, notice and disciplinary actions, and breaks during work. (What is the minimum by law?)
  • Different stipulations regarding sick leave. (Who is eligible and who is not?
  • Understanding social security in the public sector or a private company.
  • Know about the legal procedure in labor cases and the sanctions.
  • Know the evolution of Jurisprudence in labor cases.
