Hiring Smart with Behavioral Interviewing




How will you find the best people to fill key positions as your business grows and evolves? How much does it cost each time you go through the hiring process and end up with the wrong candidate? How can you know who is the right person for the position? How much will it really cost if the person selected does not have the right attitude, or cultural fit for your organization?

 

Objectives

This workshop concentrates on the pre-interview preparation, question development, questioning techniques and their value, the interview process that gets specifics, behavior-based examples of past performance, and the strategies for follow-through on this line of investigation. This workshop takes the behavioral interview even further with a twelve-step process to hiring top performers.

Designed for

This workshop is designed for managers, supervisors, and officers in the Human Resources and/or recruitment departments whose job requires recruiting and selecting employees. This workshop is also very useful for all those outside Human Resources whose job requires conducting frequent and/or important selection interviews.

  • Understand why behavioural interviews are two to five times more accurate than traditional interviews
  • Identify and apply the principles of behavioural and performance-based selection methods.
  • Recognize the pattern of behavioural questions and use this pattern to design job-specific, behavioural and performance-based questions
  • Enhance professional interviewing skills with effective communication strategies and behavioural interview techniques
  • Develop a defensible scoring and evaluation process
  • Complete the process through testing and reference checking
